Options are limited in the swim market. It’s either teeny tiny or too much coverage. The goal of serena+swim is to bring you the most gorgeous options in swim that actually fit your body.
I started this project last year with my Mother. At age 63 she is still rocking a bikini but is hard pressed to find a suit that “suits” her. Together, we are developing bikini tops with structure, perfectly fitted bottoms that don’t sag or constrain and the most confident one piece suit you’ll ever wear!
These aren’t your grandmothers swimsuits! serena+swim is designed with a modern woman in mind. All styles will remain trend-syntric. We’re borrowing elements that you’ll find on the runways and transforming them into you’re new favorite swimsuit.
I am teaming up with fashion consultant, Adriana Pavon who brings to the table over 20 years of experience in product development and manufacturing. Adriana and I will work together to create the fit for the swim line as well as pattern and sample manufacturing. The fabrics will be sourced locally and the entire line will be manufactured proudly in downtown Los Angeles.
My goal is to bring my first collection of serena+swim to market in January 2015 at the Swim Collective Tradeshow in Laguna Beach, California. It is at the show that I will introduce my line to prospective buyers worldwide.
You’re donation to our kickstarter.com page will aid in the manufacturing of all of the swim samples in my 15 mix and match color ways, as well as, create a beautiful summer 2015 campaign that will be shot by the vastly talented Benjamin Horton.
